Maria, Mo and I are very saddened to learn of Pete’s sudden passing. Our thoughts and sympathy are with you at this time. Pete was a great influence in shaping my career and he impacted our lives to make living in Mississippi more tolerable in the 1970’s for a young couple from Missouri. The education and ‘life tips’ I received from him (most good habits, maybe some not so good) made the experience much more valuable than if we studied under any other faculty at MSU. He brought a higher level of expectations from his experience at ISU and I credit him for instilling a sense of excellence in the Department during his tenure there. He is in the top 4 or 5 individuals who shaped my direction in life not only professionally but also as a human. We cherish the times we spent with you both. We will never forget him.
