Together we will mourn, with sadness, tears, and fears.
Together we will love, Dear Richard Lee McColly, ourselves, and each other.
Together we will live, for him, for us, and for them to come.
Together we will heal, in memory of our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He was born June 9, 1950 in Gary Indiana, and passed at his home in Starkville, MS on May 27, 2023.

He leaves behind his wife Kathie; his three children Kimberly, Shannon, and Richard II; his five grandchildren, Kevin Moree, McColly Brasher, Holly Banks, Montana Brasher, and Maverick Brasher; three great grandchildren, Cameron, Lily, and Violet; a brother, Steve McColly (Marynell); sisters, Betty Durance, and Debbie Daves (Richard); his dear friends, Brenda Mieth (Ivan), their daughter Tawana Williams(Craig), and Ben Baker(Elaine).
He was preceded in death his parents Howard and Virginia McColly; sisters, Hazel Coleman, Carolyn Gatchell, and Maryanne Hewitt; and his best friend, Colonel Ivan Mieth.

A Celebration of Richard’s life will be Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 11:00-2:00 P.M. at The Poorhouse, 1581 W. Poorhouse Rd., Starkville, MS 39759.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in his name to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society, OCHS, P. O. Box 297, Starkville, MS 39760.
