Obituary for Susie Elizabeth Overstreet
Susie Elizabeth Overstreet, daughter of the late Eula May and John Overstreet, died on August 30, 2022.
Susie grew up in Starkville, MS. She graduated from Starkville High School and received a B.S. Degree from Mississippi State University and a Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina. Her professional work was in the health field and took her to Washington, D.C., and Jackson and Columbus, Mississippi. She retired from the Extension Service at Mississippi State University.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John (Tira) Overstreet and Bolan (Rebecca) Overstreet.
She is survived by their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by several families who took her in as a member, as well as a wealth of good, faithful friends.
Susie was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class and Circle Mary.
At her request, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Starkville Foundation for Public Education, P. O. Box 2307, Starkville, MS 39760 or Starkville Humane Society,
P. O. Box 297, Starkville, MS 39760.
