Mrs Daniel, Richard, Kent, and Sandra,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Coach Daniel.   Know that all of you are in my prayers.   As my first coach in tee ball and my last coach as a teenage baseball player Coach Daniel has a very special place in my heart.   At a very early age (6 years old I think) he taught me about motivation using both the carrot and the stick methods.   I'll never forget how each time it was my turn to bat in tee ball Coach Daniel would say one of two things... "if you hit that ball and get on base then I'll give you a quarter"... or "if you hit that tee I'll give you a knuckle sammich!"   There is no telling how many times I've shared that story as an adult and it always makes me smile.
