Obituary for Joseph Thomas Mosley

Joseph Thomas Mosley (July 12, 1927- March 14, 2018)

Starkville, Miss.—Joseph Thomas Mosley, known by family and friends as Joe Tom, passed away on the evening of March 14, 2018, at 90 years of age. Joe Tom was born on July 12, 1927, which was a blessed birthday for his Mother, Elizabeth Crumpton Mosley, as they shared the same birth date. Joe served in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II, and, in 1946 after his time in the service, he returned to his lifetime home in Starkville.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Henry Mosley, his mother, Elizabeth Crumpton Mosley, and his brother, Donald Crumpton Mosley, as well as his loving wife, Margaret Brooks Mosley.

He is survived by his four children, Libby Mosley of Starkville, Peggy Lack (Doug) of Collins, Tommy Mosley (Elizabeth) of Greenville, Alabama, Brooks Mosley (Sherry) of Jackson; six grandchildren, Meredith Bryan (Scott), Stephen Lack (Anna Catherine), Kendal Lack, Kathryn Shuff (Bill), Claire Mosley and Sam Mosley; and two great grandchildren, Will Thomas Bryan and Brooks Bryan.

Services will be at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Starkville on Monday, March 19th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Starkville.
