Obituary for Carolyn Dewberry

Carolyn Jewel Wilson Dewberry, age 79, passed away on February 16, 2018 at her residence in Maben, Mississippi. Carolyn was a retired cafeteria worker with the Oktibbeha County Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mathiston and loved spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A visitation service is scheduled for Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Maben. The funeral service will be Monday, February 19 at 2 p.m. the First Baptist Church in Mathiston. Burial will follow in the Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Cemetery. The Reverend Wade Stevens will conduct the service.

Carolyn was survived by her 2 sons, Michael Dewberry of Maben, and Eddie Dewberry (Stephanie) of Maben; daughter, Lisa Swindol (Mike) of Maben; 1 brother, Donnie Wilson (Janice) of West Point; 4 grandchildren, Wade Swindol, Trey Allen, Mackenzie Dewberry Winfield, and Sydney Dewberry; 3 grandchildren in love, Tabatha Swindol. Chelsea Allen, and Brad Winfield; 4 great grandchildren, WhittLee Jewel Winfield, Loralie Esther Winfield, Addie Swindol, and Peyton Swindol; sister in law, Linda Wilson of West Point; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hernand Wilson and Mildred Dalton Wilson; husband, Harless Dewberry; brothers, Gene Wilson, John Wilson, Harold Wilson, William Wilson, and Wayne Wilson; sister, Melba Andrews; grandson, Brett Dewberry.
