June, (McDaniel) Wallington, 79, of Starkville , MS , passed away October 12, 2017 in Mathiston , MS . June Wallington, was preceded in death by her parents Ruth Irene (Wasson) McDaniel and Austin Francis McDaniel of Columbus , MS . She is survived by her husband Edward, her son Douglas Edward Wallington of Elberta , AL , her daughter Kristy Wallington Nijenkamp, her husband Harry Nijenkamp, of Atlanta and their two children Nikole, of Baton Rouge , and Austin , of Atlanta .
Wallington was a talented artist, interior decorator and volunteer and officer for many organizations including Starkville Town and Country Garden Club, Junior League, Master Gardner, MSU Women's Club, Oktibbeha Rose Society, and First Presbyterian Church.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held Saturday, November 4at Welch's Funeral Home in Starkville , MS. with visitation at 2:00 pm and memorial service at 3:00 pm.
