Debra (Debbie) Lynn Winters, 56, passed away on October 5, 2017 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada, MS. Debbie was born November 15, 1960 in Texas. After receiving her BS from Mississippi State University, she taught high school science for many years in Cleveland, Calhoun City, and Grenada. She also received her RN nursing degree from Holmes Community College and served several years as a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat Hudspeth.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 31 years, Steve Winters of Grenada, MS; two brothers, Larry Fields (Amanda) of Eupora, MS and Rex Fields (Loni) of Starkville, MS; brother-in-law, Sonny Winters (Marylin) of Starkville, MS; uncle, Paul Owen of Fordyce, AR; nephews, Larry Fields, Brandon Fields, Dalton Fields, Corey Braxton, Josh Coker, Jake Coker; and one niece, Lauren Alford.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Tommy Gillon will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
