Dr. Lei Zheng, 45, passed away on September 4, 2017 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Zheng was born on May 22, 1972 in Shihezi, Xingjiang, China. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University in 2012, as well as another Ph.D. in Computer Science from Beijing University of Technology in 2004. He served as an Associate Director in nSPARC at Mississippi State University.
Surviving along with his wife, Wei Zhai, are his two children: son Jesse Zheng and daughter Sophia Sammy Zheng of Starkville, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Starkville, MS (106 East Lampkin St., Starkville, MS 39759). The memorial service will start at 3:00 PM following the visitation at the same location. Please park in the parking lot by the First Baptist Church Outreach Center (210 South Jackson St.)
