Obituary for Daniel William Littrell

Daniel William Littrell, 67, passed away on August 20, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was a recruiter in the Mississippi National Guard and a Presbyterian. He loved MSU and especially baseball where he was known as "Danny Baseball" and loved the original and former Left Field Lounge at MSU. He loved Starkville Fantasy Football League. He served 33 years in the U.S. Army and retired as Sergeant First Class. Daniel was a self proclaimed Honorary General Manager for Rick's Café and also enjoyed "Starkville Café Clan" on Thursday nights.
He loved his grandbabies and his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Richard Littrell and Edna Earl Synnott Coleman.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Smithson Littrell of Starkville, MS; daughter, Amy Littrell McKay(Bobby) of Forest, MS; son, Corey Littrell (Anne Marie) of Tupelo, MS; sister, Kathy Raye(Stan) of Starkville, MS; brothers, Steve Littrell (Karen) of Lebanon, IN , David Littrell (Vicki) of Tupelo, MS, Jimmy Jo Buckley (Lorinda) of Starkville, MS, Paul Richard Littrell (Sherry) of Westfald, IN, and Duffy Coleman (Patti) of Mobile, AL; 4 grandchildren, Alexis Littrell, Minor William Littrell, Mary Lawrence McKay, and Lydia McKay; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Welch Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Bobby McKay will conduct the service. Burial will in the Veterans Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS.
