Leaning on God may also help to ease some of the pain. God promises: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." What a wonderful promise. Knowing that God really cares for you can be comforting. Knowing that God wants to and is waiting to help you is really comforting, especially knowing that when you are sad, hurting or giving way to tears, God will "really hold on to you with his right hand."
