Mr. B. Frank Oswalt, 94, of Starkville, MS, passed away at the Carrington Nursing Facility on Monday, March 23, 2015.

Mr. Oswalt was a member of Big Creek United Methodist Church, where he was song leader for 25 years, and a Mason for over 60 years. He was also a barber from 72 years. Frank was an avid gardener and loved all living things.

He is survived by four nephews: Shelby Yeatman of Starkville, MS; Dr. Gentry Yeatman of Seattle, Washington; Donald Oswalt of Sturgis, MS; Ronald Oswalt (Gene) of Hollywood, S.C.; a niece, Debbie Oswalt Edwards (Larry) of Eupora, MS; and great nephews and nieces; very special friends, Melvin Starnes, Jean Reeves, Shank Phelps and Mandy Clark

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel and Effie Bagwell Oswalt; three sisters,Kellum Oswalt Fulgham, Irma Loise Oswalt Hendricks, and Eunice Oswalt Augustine and two brothers, Noah Oswalt and Duke Oswalt.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home conducted by Revs. James and Jean Threadgill. Burial will follow in Big Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sturgis.
